The Effect Of Husband's Support On The Completeness Of Postpartum Visits
Abstract
Postpartum visits are a crucial step in monitoring the health of mothers and babies after delivery. A crucial factor is husband support, both emotional, informational, and financial. Good husband support can increase mothers' motivation to adhere to postpartum visit schedules in accordance with health service standards. This study aimed to determine the effect of husband support on the completeness of postpartum visits.
This study used a descriptive analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The population was all postpartum mothers residing in Jombang. A sample of 30 respondents was drawn using accidental sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire regarding the level of husband support and the completeness of postpartum visits, then analyzed using the Chi-square test.
The results showed that most husbands provided good support to postpartum mothers (60%), and most mothers completed postpartum visits (83%). The Chi-square test yielded a p-value of 0.045 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of husband support on the completeness of postpartum visits.
Conclusion: Husband support influences the completeness of postpartum visits. Husbands are expected to play a more active role in accompanying and supporting mothers during the postpartum period to ensure that postpartum visits meet standards.
